The allied Powers, consisting of: America, France, England, Russia, and China, have been at war with the Axis Powers, consisting of: Japan, Germany, and Italy, for a while now and it’s safe to say that your economy has never been better.

You have lucked out during this war so far, mainly due to the fact that none of the Axis powers found it necessary to invade an isolated island that’s about the size of New Zealand. There weren’t many resources in your country either, and you had to rely on foreign aid a lot of the time.

However, since the start of this war your country has seen a huge boost in immigration, which has brought a ton of new businesses and a huge boost in your economy. The economy was slowly and steadily balancing itself.

The best thing about being at peace in such a war-torn world is that most of the population is content instead of fearing for their lives at every passing minute.

Yep, things were going to be ok…

Suddenly, the door leading to your office was smashed into tiny peaces on the floor, and the bubbly nation of Italy jumped into your office, “VE~”

… Unless of course Italy decided to smash through your office door.

“You could have just knocked, but alright…” You muttered as you looked down at the pieces of wood on the floor.

“But where’s-a the fun in that?” She tilted her head to the side in genuine confusion.

A sigh escaped your lips, “What do you want Italy?”

She pointed a finger at you and winked, “I want-a you to join us against the Allies!”

“No.”

Italy whined, “But why………..”

“Because why the hell would I want to go from being at peace, to fighting five of the strongest countries on the planet?”

Italy thought for a moment before pointing at something outside of your window, “Because of that?”

You raised an eyebrow and looked outside, what you saw made your heart sink. The streets were awash with Soldiers, presumably Italian, since the flag of the Italian Empire was hanging down from your government building.

“Please don’t tell me I’ve just got beat by Italy of all nations…”

“Ve~ So, will you-a join us?”

“…” You thought for a moment, “What if I don’t want to?”

Italy’s lips began to tremble and a tear formed in her eye, “B-But then I’d-a have to get Germany involved, and I don’t-a want to do that…”

“Okay, okay I’ll join!” You didn’t need to think twice about that answer.

Italy grabbed your collar and began dragging you off to wherever she was headed, “Ve~ You’ll-a love it with us, it’s fun, everybody’s-a really nice, and Germany let’s you do whatever you want!~”

Even you knew that was a complete lie.

You became depressed as you looked at your once peaceful country that was now occupied by Italian forces.

“Well, I guess being neutral is no longer an option…”
